Emily Warter

Treasurer

Hi! My name is Emily Warter and I am the Treasurer of UCLA’s AIAs Chapter. I am an Architectural Studies major with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

My interest in Architecture started when I was 10 years old. My family bought a house and decided to knock it down and build it from the ground up. I remember staring at the blueprints for our house for hours and being amazed as I watched my house transform from 2D concepts to 3D reality. The Architect my parents hired was nice enough let me sit in on meetings and even design my own closet. This experience led me to decide that I wanted to become an Architect. Since then, my interest and appreciation for architecture has only grown.

While there is endless opportunity for design in the field of Architecture, I am most excited and interested in designing spaces that people exist within, whether that be commercial, residential, etc. Even more specifically, I am also very interested in sustainability. Overall, I am looking forward to a career Architecture, and I hope to use my creative capacity and passion to contribute to and help advance society.
